i-Pay has been developed by a team of experts with your needs in mind.
Our simple sign up process allows you to get started straight away and
begin managing your product catalogue. Once you are happy that this
is in order, we can make your site live instantly.
By adopting i-Pay you are subscribing to a comprehensive trading website.
The site template can accomodate any product type, including digital
files such as MP3 music files that can be downloaded by the customer
instantly once purchased.
Merchant Status
There is no need for you to have a merchant ID. You trade through our
system and we reconcile your dues at the end of each month.
Security
We use the highest level of security available to protect your customers
and your data. We employ a Comodo 128 bit secure certificate on the
checkout and do not store card details on the server. Card handling
is undertaken by Protx.
Full Content Management
You will be given access to your own Content Management System. This
is a simple to use website that is password protected and has the following
areas:
Catalogue
This section enables you to create appropriate product categories (ie:
CD's, DVD's, T-Shirts, etc). You can then add, edit and remove items
for sale within this structure. Typical values you would associate with
a product are:
- Title
- Code
- Image
- Description
- Weight (to calculate delivery charges)
- Price
And before you know it, your product catalogue is ready!
There is no limit to the number of products or categories you have
and you can flag an item as not being currently available, should stock
faulter.
Reports
The report section gives you up to the minute information on site activity,
namely:
Sales Reports
You set the date range and this will show you a listing of your orders.
These are colour coded to reflect pending, complete or refunded orders.
You can process orders here once they have been despatched. A help
in keeping your records up to date.
Partial or full refunds can also be made, if necessary.
Opt-in Reports
This gives you a list of all customers who have chosen to opt-in to
future communication from you. This option is presented at the checkout.
Stats Report
The Stats report analyses server activity and gives you information
on customer click-throughs on your catalogue. This is useful for gaging
interest across categories and products and it draws a comparison with
this and actual sales.
Preferences
This section saves your information for use on the site, ie: your contact
details and welcome text.
Delivery
It also allows you to adjust your delivery settings across the 4 world
zones. We have mimicked the Royal Mail model for your delivery system
in so far as a calculation of the entire order weight is made at checkout
and then the delivery charge is calulated according to which world zone
the delivery address falls in. You can charge a fixed amount for the
first 20g and then an incremental amount for each subsequent 20g. This
flexible solution means you can weight delivery charges as need be or
even set them for a fixed amount for each zone.
Uploads
This section gives you the tools you need to add images and digital
assets (for sale) to your catalogue. The image upload mechanism accepts
JPGs and will resize and optimise the images for you as well as producing
a thumbnail.
Variants
Up to two variants listings can be created and they allow you to apply
choices to your products, ie: colour or size. You can list all relevant
colour combinations here and apply any that are relevant to a product.
This information can then be selected by a customer and is carried through
with an order.
The Public Website
The website template on the public side has been developed with simplicity
in mind. We offer six off-the-shelf designs which you can choose from

You make this choice when you sign up, although this can be switched
easily at any time.
We can also develop a custom style for you should you wish.
Simple or Detailed Listings
By entering information in the Content Manager you can choose whether
your products appear as a simple listing or if they have a dedicated
page which can include more content and even reviews.
Image Pop-ups
Images shown on the site appear as thumbnails and have an enlarge function
which opens a pop-up with a larger version of the image. This reduces
download times on the pages and allows a customer to view more detail
where they require it.
Search Facility
There is a simple keyword search facility on the site.
Sound Preview Function
If you are selling digital music your customers can preview tracks while
browsing. You create a preview clip for each track and this cannot be
downloaded or accessed outside of the preview player.
Automated Emails
When an order is placed by a customer they will receive an automatic
email with a receipt of the transaction. You also get a copy of this
so you know to log into your Content Management System and fulfil the
order.
Enquiries
An dedicated page on the website allows customers to call you directly
or use a form to send enquiries to your nominated email account.
Terms and Conditions
Basic trading terms and conditions appear on the site and can be adjusted
to suit your needs.
Hosting
Hosting is included in the package and we will help you manage your
domains as required.
The standard hosting package includes 250MB of disk space and 500MB/month
bandwidth allowance.
